you may know,
largest Portuguese Union federations have agreed, to stage a general
strike on November 24 to protest against government austerity.
Unfortunately November 24 is also the first day of the CETC 2011 conference.
We have considered several alternatives and arrived to the conclusion that the best option is to modify the conference program and concentrate all conference activity on Friday the 25th of November.
A detailed version of the new program can be downloaded from the conference web page.
We may expect a very busy Friday, as well as a very interesting one, with a large poster session, three parallel oral sessions in the morning and afternoon and four invited talks of general interest.
The first edition of the Conference on Electronics Telecommunications and Computers (CETC 2011) is born out of the success and growth of the previous four editions of Jornadas de Engenharia Electrónica e Telecomunicações e de Computadores organized by ISEL in 2008, 2005, 2002 and 1999
The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for engineers to disseminate and discuss their current research findings and also to explore recent development, current practices and future trends in Electronics, Telecommunications and Computers. We also encourage the dissemination of R&D linked to the Industry.
The CETC 2011 program includes sessions with invited speakers and breakout sessions with oral, poster and demo presentations in the fields of Electronics, Telecommunications and Computers.
After completion of the peer review process the proceedings will be published on the ISEL Academic Journal of Electronics Telecommunications and Computers.
Papers and abstracts should be submitted in English. The presentations (oral/poster) may be given in English or Portuguese.
Best Student Paper
Undergraduate and postgraduate students are encouraged to participate in the conference. An award for the Best Student Paper will be given to the best paper whose main author is a student who presented his/her work at the conference.
